Description
One ornament, one evening, about fifteen minutes of stitching.
For the woman who means to make ornaments every year and finds the felt on December twentieth.
You know the evening I mean. The tree is up, the kids are finally down, and you’d love to make something with your hands instead of scrolling. Then you go looking for a pattern and find one that wants a sewing machine, a printer that can read your mind, and a free Saturday.
I’ve been there more Decembers than I’d like to admit. So I drew the twelve ornaments I’d actually make, put every piece at true size, and marked exactly where to cut and where to stitch. Print a page, cut it out, and you’re making something before the coffee gets cold.
The Christmas Ornament Pattern Pack is a 16-page printable of twelve felt and paper ornament patterns. It’s not a sewing course and it’s not a project that eats your weekend. It’s one page and one small, finished ornament at a time, hand-stitched, no machine needed.
What’s inside
- Twelve patterns at actual size — Felt Poinsettia, Little Gnome, Winter Hat, Felt Leaf, Puffy Star, Little Tree, Mitten, Mini Stocking, Gingerbread Friend, Stitched Heart, Paper Snowflake and Jingle Bell
- A 1-inch check square on every pattern page, so you know the print came out right before you cut a single piece of felt
- Steps right beside the pieces — solid line means cut, dashed line means stitch, “cut 2” means a front and a back
- Before You Start — the short supply list and three simple stitches (running, blanket and whip), with a note on which ornaments little hands can help with
- A Start Here page with the one printing setting that matters
A print-and-cut pack, on purpose. These are templates you print and trace, so there’s no fillable version or app here — there’s nothing to type into, only something to make.
What changes
Before: a Pinterest board of ornaments you meant to make, and a bag of felt in the closet from last year.
After: a puffy star and a little gnome on the tree by the weekend, and a few extra tied on gifts for the teachers and the neighbors.
“I’m not crafty.”
Start with the Puffy Star. It’s two pieces and one stitch, and if you can sew on a button, you can make it. Done is better than perfect, and a lopsided gnome is still a gnome.
Making them to sell? Ornaments you stitch by hand from these patterns are yours to sell at a church bazaar, a craft fair or a little shop. The patterns themselves are for your own use, so please don’t share or resell the PDF.
Who made it
Hi, I’m Robin. I raised four kids, I’m a grandmother of seven, and I’ve been writing It’s a Southern Life Y’all since 2018. Every pattern in this pack was drawn from scratch for it.
