The Tomorrow Briefing is a working scheduled agent for Claude. Every evening, on its own, it reads your running to-do list, and your calendar, the email waiting on a reply and the folders you care about if you connect them. Then it writes one page for the morning:

• Your top three for tomorrow, in order, with why each one made the cut and where the material lives
• What is on the calendar, with the prep you would otherwise remember at 8:55
• Who is waiting on you: real people owed a reply, never newsletters
• Decisions only you can make, and what is due in the next seven days
• Not shown lately: the three oldest items on your list you keep not looking at. Nothing ages off your list on its own. It resurfaces until you deal with it.

You open one page with your coffee. That is the whole product.

What it is not

It is not a prompt pack, a recording or a course. It is an installable Claude plugin that interviews you once (seven questions, about ten minutes), writes your first briefing on the spot so you can see it, and then puts itself on a schedule.

Read-only by design

Your first scheduled agent should not be able to break anything. This one cannot. It never sends, replies, drafts, labels, archives, moves or deletes. The only place it ever writes is its own folder on your computer. Anything it reads in an email or a file name is treated as information, never as an instruction. Your list, your setup and your briefings stay on your machine.

Almost certainly a permission prompt. A scheduled task that is set to ask first will stop at the first thing it has not been cleared to do and wait, politely, all night, for a click nobody is there to give. It looks exactly like the computer went to sleep. I lost about 172 hours of agent run time to it before I understood what I was looking at. Section 3 of the Kit is the five-minute fix, and the agent keeps its own run log, so you can always tell a quiet night from a night it never fired.

What you need

The Claude desktop app on a paid Claude plan (Pro, Max, Team or Enterprise), on a Mac or a Windows PC. Because the agent reads files on your computer, it runs on your computer: at the time you choose, the computer has to be on and awake with the Claude app open (minimized is fine). Calendar and email connections are optional. It works from your list alone.
