Tips to Create a Perfect Morning
The tone of your day is set from the moment you wake up. When I wake late, am rushed, and feel lost, that’s pretty much how my day continues. These tips to create a perfect morning has helped me to do just that…create a perfect morning! But what does your perfect morning look like?

When you cultivate good morning habits, it gives a great boost to your day. Having a routine not only improves your time management and daily productivity; it also helps set the mood for the day.
What good habit would you like to incorporate into your morning? Personally, I love to have 20 minutes of peaceful reading time each morning. I find it relaxing and calming to sit with a good book and lose myself in the words.
I love reading first thing in the morning because it gives me a few unplugged minutes to myself. Although, I don’t start my day by checking emails, my blog stats, or social media…I have the rest of the day for that…I do read my books on this Kindle Paperwhite. I love this Kindle for so many reasons, but the most important is the NO SCREEN GLARE (even in sunlight)! This means I can read my Kindle ANYWHERE…even the beach!
I do love the feel and smell of actual books (former librarian here), but I just can’t beat the ease of downloading a book from the Kindle Unlimited Membership Plans. It’s so easy to find your book title and click download…no extra cost or hidden fees. Being an avid reader, I get plenty of use from my plan!
Giving myself these 20 minutes of “me time” starts my day off on the right foot. Like you, I am busy from the moment my feet hit the floor until I’m ready to fall into bed again at night and don’t pamper myself the way I should. I truly look forward to my 20 minutes.
How would you like to spend your 20 minutes?
Think about this for a moment. It could be in any area of your life from exercise and healthy eating to self-improvement or getting ahead in business or at your job. It could be working on your relationship with your kids, finding time for creative pursuits, or getting in the habit of reading every morning like me. There is no right or wrong answer here.
What do you need in your life to create a perfect morning?
Once you’ve figured out what you want to work on, what you want to improve, and what’s important to you, we’ll think about how you can make it part of your morning routine.
Sit back and imagine your perfect morning. It isn’t stressed or rushed. Most importantly it’s a day when you have time for everything on your list. Maybe it means having time for a long shower. Maybe it’s going for a run before breakfast. Maybe it’s having a few minutes to connect with your spouse over coffee or maybe it’s even carving out an hour first thing in the morning to work on your side-business.
I know that’s a lot of “maybes” that you might desire, but the key is to start with what’s most important to you and think about how you could fit it into your morning routine.
Remember, you’re just dreaming and imagining at this point. We’ll work on figuring out where to find the time to fit it in and how to make it all work out later on. For now, I simply want you to paint a vivid picture of what your new morning could look like.
I want you to become very clear on what you want that perfect morning to look like. Imagine it in as much detail as you possibly can. Write it down in a journal or on a piece of paper that you can refer back to as needed. In short, create your perfect morning.
Why is this so important? Because you can’t start to make any meaningful changes until you know what your goals are. Remember that a goal without a plan is just a wish. Don’t wish for a perfect morning…create it!
You need to know your destination before you can start to pick a route and figure out how you’ll get there. That’s what today’s task is all about. It’s figuring out where you want to get to. Don’t stop until you have it figured out and firmly pictured in your mind.
What are some things you would like to incorporate in your morning? I’d love to hear from you in the comments below.
